Study: Couples Trying For Baby ‘Should Have Sex Daily’

Here’s a study your hubby will be quoting for the next month.

While many clinics advise couples to have sex every other day in order to get pregnant, scientists have found that regular sex can significantly improve the quality of a man’s sperm.

Although the quantity of sperm declined by more than half, researchers insisted that levels stayed well within those considered necessary for fertility.

Dr David Greening, from Sydney IVF, in Wollongong, Australia, said: “Sperm don’t seem to like staying in warm testicles for too long. The advice might be to keep the rivers flowing.”

He added that his findings could also explain in part the problems that some couples have conceiving as they get older.

Dr Greening said that men were more likely to have sex daily when they were in their twenties than by the time they had reached their forties.

“Perhaps reproductively we are built to do it in our youth. We have been blaming women as we get older (for fertility problems) when perhaps there is also contribution from the male because we are not behaving as we should be (by having regular sex).”

Dr Allan Pacey, Senior Lecturer in Andrology at the University of Sheffield, said: “There may be dangers if we apply this finding to all men uncritically and to all situations.

“For example, in cases where men have low sperm counts to start with, daily ejaculations may well reduce the sperm count still further and whilst sperm may be more healthy the reduced numbers could impede the chance of natural conception.

However, if such men are preparing for an assisted conception procedure, this may well not matter and their chances of success may be improved.”

gDiaper Introduces Cloth Inserts For Use With gPants

Hybrid diaper company gDiaper has introduced washable cloth inserts called gCloths for their gPants.

Original gDiapers, consist of a washable, cotton outer little gPant and a plastic-free biodegradable diaper gRefill. They are made of breathable material just like sports clothing. So, babies stay dry and happy and are far less likely to get diaper rash.

The new washable re-fills are made of two layers of soft 100% polyester microfleece wick moisture away from baby’s bottom keeping it feeling dry and comfortable. Two layers of hemp/cotton absorb wetness and hold moisture in.

Hemp in particular becomes more absorbent with use so the more you wash gCloth inserts, the softer and more absorbent they become.

For optimum softness, absorbency and sizing, gDiapers recommends that you wash the gCloth inserts at least six (6) times before using in hot water and tumble dry on medium heat. They say to expect some shrinkage in length.

Like all cloth diaper products, the gCloth inserts will become softer and more absorbent the more you wash them.

The Malibu Lumber Yard was abuzz with celebrities today shopping to support EB Medical Research Foundation.

The annual picnic, which was Presented By Sinupret For Kids And Yogen Fruz, attracted many for kid face-painting, balloon art and jewelry making.

Epidermolysis Bullosa is a group of diseases characterized by blister formation after minor trauma to the skin. This family of disorders, most of which are inherited, range in severity from mild to the severely disabling and life-threatening diseases of the skin. This rare genetic disorder affects all ethnic and racial groups. Estimates indicate that as many as 100,000 Americans suffer from some form of EB.

The EBMRF is unique in that the Foundation pays no salaries. All work, including executive, development and administrative, is done on a volunteer basis. It is the goal of the Foundation to keep operating costs at less than 1% of incoming donations so that a full 99% of contributions can go directly to our research programs.

Study: Women The Happiest At 28

Home hair colour brand Clairol Perfect 10, recently carried out the study of 4,000 women to gage our happiness at different stages of our lives. Researchers discovered women feel most confident and happy with their love life and body shape shortly before they reach 30.

It is also the period in their life when they enjoy the best sex – but the happiness is relatively short lived.

Because by the time they have turned 30 they start worrying about growing old and developing grey hair and wrinkles.

A spokesman for the company said: “Everything in life hits its peak at some point, and nearly reaching your thirties isn’t so bad now.

“The age of 28 has been pinpointed as the time in a woman’s life their hair looks the best, body shape is at its peak and confidence is at an all-time high.

“The security of your job, having a steady income, being in a relationship and having strong friendships all help create the perfect point in our lives when everything comes together.

“Reaching and surpassing your twenties no longer triggers the downward spiral of your looks and self-confidence.

“And a little time put aside in hectic schedules for self-pampering and the odd beauty product can help keep you feeling young and looking your best.”

The survey of 25-65 year olds recorded the age at which women were most content in 12 key areas of their life.

According to the results:

• women are happiest in their career at 29
• most content with their relationships one year later at 30, despite having the best sex at 28
• they most content with their financial situation at 33
• at ease with their home and family life at 32
• two thirds of women feel they age more quickly than men, and the women polled rated their appearance a measly five out of 10
• women spend over five days a year on their beauty routine – an average of 22 minutes every day
• 56 per cent of women worry about losing their looks as they get older

But drinking from the fountain of youth doesn’t come cheap as the average woman will spend $1000 every year, or more than $70 a month, on beauty products in a bid to stay looking young.

Psychologist Corinne Sweet added:

“Having a good hair day is essential to success both at work and in love, as many women still feel their hair is their crowning glory

“Considering it was found that women have six bad hair days a month, anything women can rely on to improve their hair at home, in the minimum of time with guaranteed results can mean a huge lift in well-being, confidence and self-esteem.

“This can help women feel they are in the driving seat in their lives, despite the challenging times of modern life and always being on the go.”

Richard Gere and son Homer James Cheer On The Yankees From The Dugout

Richard Gere was seen at the New York Yankees/New York Mets game at Citi Field in Flushing, New York yesterday.

The actor and his son Homer James were lucky enough to sit in the New York Yankees dugout prior to their game against the New York Mets.

The pair met with Yankees manager Joe Girardi, third baseman Alex Rodriguez and catcher Jorge Posada before their 5-0 win over the Mets.

Homer’s mom is Carey Lowell, Richard’s wife of 7 years.
