How cute are these felt embroidered shoes? I found them over at Etsy and wished instantly that I had a little girl.
These shoes are made using wool felt and recycled leather. The pair pictured is made using toast tan wool felt for the uppers and vanilla for the lining. I love them!!
One shoe has been hand stitched with the words “i ‘heart’ u”, and the other is decorated with two love bird appliques detailed with more hand embroidery.
Every pair is made to order, so you will choose what size you’d like the shoes to be, from infant sizes 1-6.
The seller is called diddledumpling at she is selling these handcrafted shoes for a VERY reasonable price of $23.

Christine Jones, the head teacher of Bassetts Farm School, was surprised when the students that arrived for the first day of school in her mixed primary school were 20 BOYS.
The school draws its pupils from across Exmouth – population 35,000 – making the odds of an all-boy class even more remarkable.
The odds of an all-boy class based on pure probability would be a million to one though factors like parental choice of school and selection criteria complicate the calculation.
But Mrs Jones was amazed when the male-only class showed up on January 7th, saying: “A million to one chance – it’s like winning the lottery.
“We celebrate our 30th anniversary this year and, quite honestly, it is the first time the foundation class has not had any girls.
“It is a record for us and probably unusual among other schools.”
The school has 320 pupils made up of an even number of boys and girls although some of the classes attended by older children have more boys than girls on the register.

The FDA had been issuing very strong warnings lately about administering cough medicine to toddlers under 2.
Today some official numbers were released that are very scary.
In their first estimate, the U.S. government believes that cough and cold medicines send about 7,000 children to hospital emergency rooms each year.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that bout two-thirds of the cases were children who took the medicines unsupervised. However, about one-quarter involved cases in which parents gave the proper dosage and an allergic reaction or some other problem developed.
About two-thirds of the cases were children who took the medicines unsupervised. However, about one-quarter involved cases in which parents gave the proper dosage and an allergic reaction or some other problem developed.
Because it is believed that an estimated 1,600 of the 7,100 children are under 2, the FDA’s new recommendations, if followed, will hopefully reduce such ER visits by 23 percent.
The most common symptoms reported were allergic reactions like hives and itching and neurological symptoms like drowsiness and unresponsiveness. CDC researchers said that most of the medicines involved were liquid combinations of cough and cold treatments.

I hate reading about stuff like this…some people just don’t get it.
A 19-year-old Te Puke woman has been charged with drunken driving, after blowing a reading of 750. That is five times the legal limit for her age, which is 150. The woman, who is six months pregnant, did not have a licence and was carrying three passengers when police stopped her.
She told police she was driving because she believed she was the least drunk of the four, and wanted to get back to Te Puke. She will appear in court next month.
