Jessica Capshaw Welcomes Baby#2!

Congratulations to Grey’s Anatomy star Jessica Capshaw and husband Christopher Gavigan on the safe arrival of their second child – a girl!

People Magazine reports that Eve Augusta arrived on Oct. 20.

“The family is thrilled to welcome their newest addition,” the actresses rep told the magazine.

The new baby joins the couple’s 3-year-old son Luke.

Celebs and Their Kiddos Dress Up To Benefit The Children Affected by AIDS Foundation

Last night Hollywood dressed up to support an important cause. The Halloween event, which benefited Children Affected by AIDS Foundation, brought out lots of celebrity families who were ready to party! 

 

The Children Affected by AIDS Foundation works to improve the lives of children infected by the disease by helping meet their diverse special needs, advocating and educating on their behalf and bringing fun to their lives – a goal was surely achieved last night!  

Guests at the party were treated to fun on “Trick-or-Treat Lane”
with fabulous costume characters, amazing treats for kids, arts
& crafts activities, face painting, gourmet food from Los
Angeles’ finest restaurants, stage shows, live and silent auctions,
celebrity sightings and other fabulous surprises!

Rozonno and Mia McGhee Debut Their Sextuplets

Just 4 months after their exciting arrival, Rozonno and Mia McGhee are showing off their six precious babies!

The sextuplets, 4 boys and 2 girls, made news in June when they arrived weighing between 1.5 and 2 pounds each. 

Now, much bigger and home from their 3 month stay at the hospital, the babies were photographed by Peters Photography. For the shoot the photographers blogged that it took approximately 5 hours with lots of help. The studio brought in 2 extra helpers, while the McGhees arrived with 3 more.
It all paid off because the final product is gorgeous!

Cam Gigandet Picks Pumpkins With His Girls!

Twilight vampire Cam Gigandet made his way to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch yesterday with his lovely ladies, girlfriend Dominique Geisendorff and adorable daughter Everleigh. 

Everleigh is on the move!  She is 18 months old now and wants to help.  While at the patch she helped her dad push the wagon and pick the perfect pumpkin.

Cam has been a busy guy.  He filmed 6 movies this year including Burlesque which also stars Cher, Christina Aguilera, Stanley Tucci and Eric Dane.

Mariah Carey Confirms She’s Expecting!

In an interview on the Today Show this morning, which was part of a sneak peek of her three-part Access Hollywood interview Mariah Carey confirmed what most of us already knew – she’s expecting!

“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true, the singer told Billy Bush “It’s been a long journey, but it’s been tough because I’ve been trying to have … to hold onto a shred of privacy. And that was not easy.””

Husband Nick Cannon also joined the mom-to-be to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.” 

Mariah, who would not reveal her due date, but only say “it’s still early” and “expecting is great.” Ever-supportive Cannon said of the loss, “It strengthened our relationship so much … she handled it so well.”

RECALL: 682,000 Dollar Tree Children’s Halloween Lanterns Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the Dollar Tree Stores, today announced a voluntary recall of about 682,000 Pumpkin, Ghost and Skull Halloween Lanterns because the bulb in the battery-operated lanterns can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. 

The firm has received one report of the bulb in a lantern overheating. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves plastic Halloween-themed lanterns designed to resemble a pumpkin, ghost and skull. The lanterns are about 6 1/2 inches tall and were sold in orange, white and black. Model number 954437-13096-003-1005 is printed on the bottom of the lanterns.

Consumers should take the recalled lanterns away from children immediately, remove and properly discard the batteries and return the lanterns to the store where purchased for a full refund.

ABC Kids Expo 2010: iCandy 2011

When Luxury stroller manufacturer iCandy crossed the pond earlier this year and introduced 3 of their signature strollers, they were met with excitement from North American parents.

I was first introduced to the line in 2007 when the company’s second stroller – the apple was being launched. Shortly after, a doubles kits was introduced that revolutionized double strolling forever. With the addition of a bracket and a second seat, the apple was the first stroller that could be converted for a second child or infant if necessary.  

Now 3 years later iCandy has lots of new stuff coming that will make strolling a dream for parents.

The Peach!  Finally, we will be able to purchase the much anticipated Peach Blossom and Twin! They have both been available overseas for a while, but will be in store here soon.

Suitable from birth, the Blossom will accommodate a toddler seat, bassinet and infant car seat in the back and toddler seat in from.

Also suitable from birth, the Blossom Twin can do 2 car seats, 2 bassinets, 2 toddler seats or a variety of other combinations.  

Both strollers feature a 17.3lb frame, and extra large shopping basket, freestanding chassis when folded and a unique one hand fold mechanism that folds to a size similar to a single stroller.  

New for 2011 iCandy has designed a 3-wheeled version of the Peach with a brushed silver frame and black tires.

 

The iCandy Cherry will come in a really nice Special Edition. Taking inspiration from the iconic Union Jack, with classic regal colours and stylish finishing touches, the new cherry benefits from all the practical features which created our original cherry and comes as a complete package including stroller, carrycot, luxury superfleece footmuff, changing bag, parasol, parasol /cupholder clamp and raincovers.

Also shown, but only as a prototype so no pictures were allowed, was the new Strawberry. This new single takes iCandy’s luxury features to the next level by offering a tweet bassinet and toddler canopy.

Stella McCartney’s New Kids Collection

Even though Stella McCartney‘s new kids collection isn’t due to be launched until next week VogueUK has snagged a preview of what we can expect. 

Just like with her collection for the GAP last year, Stella has designed a practical line that will undoubtedly be popular with kids and parents alike.   Designed for both boys and girls, ranging in age from 0 to 12 years,  the collection features floral prints, knitted sweaters and stylish pea jackets.
