Trista Talks About Losing The Baby Weight in US Magazine

For the last few months Trista has spoken out about her desire to regain her pre-pregnancy figure.

Both she and son, Maxwell, grace the cover of this weeks edition of US Magazine and it looks like she got her wish.

The first time mom looks great in a bikini with baby in arms!

How did she do it?

“Every night before I go to bed, I do abs, pushups, and tricep presses. I feel better when I wake up if I’ve done something to set my muscles and make them feel active,” she tells Us.

Her 2,000-calorie-a-day diet and four-times-a-week workouts with trainer Brock Fetch have also helped her marriage to Ryan.

“I feel a lot more fit and healthy,” she says. “And I think that’s playing a part in our relationship.” (Adds Ryan, “I’m just happy to see her happy with herself… and her butt looks great!”)

Will there be another baby in the future?

“We’ve started trying!” Sutter tells Us. “I’d love to have babies close in age. And it took us so long the first time that if it takes us two years, then that will be fine.”

I think that Trista looks great post pregnancy, I just wish that the media would stop putting so much emphasis on losing the weight so quickly after delivering.

Oh, and will someone please put a sun protection shirt and a hat on the baby!

Trista Talks About Loosing Baby Weight

Trista Sutter and son Maxwell land the cover of this weeks edition if US Magazine. This is Maxwell’s second cover shot in just 6 weeks.

Trista talks to US about her struggle to loose weight and her disappointment about not being able to fit into her pre-pregnancy clothes yet.

How are you feeling about your body? “My friend said that when I came home from the hospital, I’d be back in my old jeans. Fifteen pounds did fall off immediately, but the fact that it’s been three months and I’m still not in them is a bummer.”

What bothers you the most? “My belly. It has a layer of fat, which, of course, your body has to put on, but it’s blubbery and I hate it. I want to be able to go bathing suit shopping for a vacation and not feel totally disgusted…I just don’t feel good in a lot of my clothes.”

Does Ryan help? If I eat something that I shouldn’t, Ryan shakes his finger at me and says, ‘Uh, uh, uh!’ He’s been awesome, 100 percent supportive. He watches Max when I go to the gym and is constantly saying that I look great. But when you don’t feel good about yourself, you don’t feel like you want to be intimate. I want to feel, and look, sexy again for him. Even though he is being nice and saying he’s still attracted to me, I want to feel like he’s telling me the truth and not just saying it because he’s a good husband.”

My Advice: Stop stressing about the weight. Be happy that you have a beautiful, healthy baby. The weight will some off soon enough. We think your new curves look great!

Ryan probably really does still think she is attractive. After all, she just carried his baby for 9 months and successfully delivered him after being diagnosed with HELLP syndrome (a complication of pre-eclampsia).

Maxwell Alston Sutter in US Magazine

Here he is! Maxwell Sutter was born on July 27th, four weeks early, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces.

He is introduced to the world in an elaborate photo spread put together by US Magazine.

After struggling to conceive for two years, the couple opened up to the magazine about the challenges they faced in getting pregnant.

“EPT sent me about 100 pregnancy tests, and I discovered I was pregnant with the very last one.”

In her nineth month doctors found protein in her urine and tested the reality star for preeclampsia, a potentially fatal hypertensive disorder that typically occurs toward the end of a pregnancy.

“I was terribly nauseous and in a lot of pain,” she says.

Trista was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome (a complication of preeclampsia). “The risks are seizures and coma, so they kept me overnight for observation,” Trista explains. “I can’t remember much of the next day. My liver was failing. The only cure for HELLP syndrome is to have the baby, so they induced me.”

After six hours Trista’s levels kept getting worse. “I knew something was wrong when the doctor looked worried.” Ryan tells Us, “They said there was a chance her liver could rupture. They were trying to get us to make a comfortable decision to go with a C-section. Eventually we said if Trista’s health is deteriorating and we’re jeopardizing the baby’s health, then do what you have to do.”
