Baby In Africa Born With 4 Legs

A Baby girl born with four legs in South Africa will have two of her limbs amputated.

Doctors believe the surgery will enable the unnamed youngster, born near the northeastern town of Polokwane yesterday afternoon, to make a full recovery and live a normal life.

“Our medical specialists have observed her and believe that she can pull through,” provincial health department spokesman Phuti Seloba said today.

“The baby is responding very well and surgery will be carried out on her very soon.”

A local newspaper said a 23-year-old woman gave birth to the baby at the hospital in what doctors say is first of its kind at the institution.

No reason was given why this abnormality occurred. Almost exactly 4 years ago another baby was born in Zambia with almost the same problem except she had an extra hand and kidney.

At that time, the baby’s deformities were said to be caused by the incomplete growth of another fetus and a multiplication of cells which would normally have resulted in the birth of Siamese twins.

Brooke Keeps Fit With The Girls In Tow

Brooke Shields and her two daughters head out for some fresh air over the weekend in LA. They travel comfortably in their Phil and Ted’s sport double stroller.

I wasn’t sure what I thought of this stroller this first time I saw it, but Miss Grier Henchy seems to think it’s just fine. She catches a nap in the back while her mom exercises and sister, Rowan guides the way.

Parade Organic Kimono Onesies

These Organic Kimono onesies are adorable! I like how the sides open and close with ties so you don’t have to pull over baby’s head.

Every parent will be able to relate to the words on each onesie. They cover most of the endearing words we have used to describe our ‘angels’.

Parade Baby clothing is made with the finest certified organic cotton in sweatshop free environments through fair trade.

Organically produced cotton is softer on baby’s skin but also stronger and more durable than produced cotton.

I found them at cheekymonkey.ca for $23.99 CAD or $21.99 US
