Halle Berry Expecting First Child

There has been speculation for some time that Halle Berry was pregnant. She has confirmed to Access Hollywood that she is infact expecting.

“Yes, I am three months’ pregnant,” Berry told Access Hollywood. “Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in my life.

“Now, the next seven months will be the longest of my life!”

Berry, 41, has made no secret in recent years of her desire to start a family.

“My sights are set on a different chapter in my life, which is motherhood. That’s the goal I have very clearly set for myself,” she told Parade in an interview earlier this year.

In April, she told Access Hollywood she had reached a point where she was “really, really ready” to procreate.

“Not that there’s not more to accomplish, but I think I arrived at a point in life that I realized I needed more to get me up in the morning. More than going to a new movie set…I need something even more profound than that, and that’s family. And that’s children,” Berry said.

“I need that like the air to breathe these days, and I’m ready.”

Berry met Aubrey, 31, in November 2005, and the twosome made their first public appearance together at the February 2006 opening of a Versace boutique in New York.

We are excited for her and look forward to seeing her grow!!

RECALL: NettoCollection Cribs Due to Entrapment and Strangulation Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of the Netto Collection “Moderne” and “Loft” Cribs. They are requesting that consumers stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

The crib slats can separate from the side rails, posing an entrapment and strangulation hazard to young children.

NettoCollection has received three reports of the side rail spindles separating from the top rail. No injuries have been reported.

The crib side rails are made of wood and sold with a brown finish. Only cribs with model numbers NC-137 and NC-140 and date codes 9/03 and 02/04 are included in the recall. The model numbers, date codes and “Made in Poland” are printed on a label on the crib end panels.

The cribs were sold at stores nationwide from October 2003 through June 2005 for about $1,350.

Consumers should stop using the crib immediately and contact NettoCollection to receive two replacement side rails.

You can find additional information by contacting NettoCollection toll-free at (866) 996-3886 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.(M-F) or visit the firm’s Web site at www.nettocollection.com

BT Baby Monitor 150 Has Some GREAT Features

In the last few years there have been many advancements in baby monitors. Some new models allow you to watch your baby while they sleep, others track the temperature in your nursery and now the BT Baby Monitor combines an intercom feature, which means that a constant link is maintained between parent and baby.

Talkback allows you to soothe your baby from the Parent unit, or to talk back to someone at the Baby unit. Star lights give a soft comforting nightlight.

Sound Sensitive Lights let you turn the Parent unit volume down and still know when your baby stirs.

Portable parent unit allows you to take it up to 300m outdoors and 50m indoors (in ideal conditions)- giving you the freedom to move around with the confidence that you can still hear your baby. Adjustable belt clip means you can keep the Parent unit wherever you go.

On sale right now at BT shop for £34.99

Marcia Cross’ Double Date

Marcia Cross got creative Sunday when she brought her twins, Savannah and Eden to the park.

Separately, the twins would probably not fit into the swing, but together, they are snug as a bug.

Cute! I would never have thought of it…

Byler Bunch Doing “Well”

Saturday night was a big evening in Florida. The state celebrated their first set of sextuplets born to Ben and Karoline Byler.

The five boys and 1 girl arrived Saturday evening, via c-section with the boys all coming out breach and the little girl head first.

Grandma, Sherry Anderson, would like to show of her new grandbabies, but no photos are to be released of the babies because of an exclusive agreement the family has signed with an entertainment show.

“The babies are just like perfect human beings,” She said. “When you look at them, the fingers and the toes, everything is perfect. They are like little people.”

When she first saw Brady, Eli, Ryan, Jackson, Charlie and Mackenzie, her eyes were immediately drawn to one body part.

“Their eyes are so precious,” Anderson said. “They are about the size of the end of my thumb. That caught my attention.”

Right now one baby, little Ryan, is in critical condition. Three others are in serious condition. Two more are in stable condition.

While I don’t agree with anyone having this many babies at once, I am glad that the babies were able to stay in the womb long enough for them to have a good chance.

It bothers me when I hear about exclusivity agreements because that always means that the family will benefit financially from the birth of their children.

MANY of our readers believe that if you undergo fertility treatments, it is your responsibility to support the number of children that result in the process.

Baby Born At Police Station

A unemployed pregnant woman arrived at the police station in Negril on Saturday begging the police for taxi fare to go to the hospital.

Before they could give her the money, it was apparent that the baby wasn’t going to wait.

Even though they were not prepared, Inspector Nadine Grant-Brown and two other female constables delivered the woman’s baby boy.

“It was a humanitarian situation and we as officers have sworn to serve and protect,” said Constable Densil Scott, the Constabulary Communication Network liaison officer for Negril Police. “The baby was delivered without any problem whatsoever, it just about brought tears to our eyes.”

The woman who is the mother of five other children was taken to hospital by the police along with paramedics from the Negril Fire Station.

This is the second time that a baby has been delivered at the Negril Police Station. The first was during Hurricane Gilbert in 1988.

Babies will come when THEY are ready. We have covered stories about newborns being delivered in parking lots, elevators and taxis. I sometimes think that pregnant women take signs of labor too lightly and wait too long to get to the hospital. How do you know if you are in Labor?

As your due date approaches, Braxton Hicks contractions may become stronger or even painful. Eventually, Braxton Hicks contractions will be replaced by the real thing. To tell the difference, ask yourself these questions:

  • Are the contractions regular? Time your contractions from the beginning of one to the beginning of the next. Look for a regular pattern of contractions that get stronger and closer together. Contractions that come at least every five minutes are likely to be the real thing. The contractions of false labor will remain irregular.
  • How long do they last? Measure the length of each contraction by timing when it begins and when it ends. True contractions last more than 30 seconds at first and get progressively longer — up to 75 seconds — and stronger. With false labor, contractions vary in length and intensity.
  • Can you stop the contractions? True contractions continue regardless of your activity level or position. In fact, they often grow stronger with increased activity, such as walking. With false labor, you may be able to stop the contractions by changing your activity or position, lying down or even taking a walk.
  • Where do you feel the contractions? The pain of true contractions tends to begin high in the abdomen, radiating throughout the abdomen and lower back. With false labor, the contractions are often concentrated in the lower abdomen.

Do You Carry A Tide Pen In Your Purse?

The other night I overheard a table of seniors talking about the Tide Pen.

There were 5 couples at the table and every wife had one of these ‘pens’ in her purse in case of emergency. Apparently their husbands were prone to accidents when they were out for dinner and needed to frequent use of these stain fighting sticks.

Upon hearing this I thought of the hundred times that I had been out with my son and had to change his top after an accident.

I was also surprised to hear that many of my girlfriends, those with kids and those without, carry the pen in their purse for similar emergencies.

Am I the only one not prepared??? Does it really work??
